The Energy Innovation Toolkit is a free service offered by the AER in collaboration with the Australian Energy Market Commission, Australian Energy Market Operator, the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, and the Essential Services Commission. The Toolkit can help you understand energy regulation, explore options to launch your energy business under current frameworks, and get clear guidance. You can now apply for proof-of-concept trials offering relief from specific energy regulations through time-limited waivers and trial rule changes. It's never too early to get free help. We can help you with projects and ideas at any stage.

Unlocking CER Benefits Rule Change Draft Determination - Update

A new draft determination from the AEMC proposes to introduce two new meter types and new provisions for the establishment of additional settlement points behind NEM connection points for small and large customers. Under the proposed rule change, large customers would be able to choose multiple energy service providers for their premises.
